Job Overview:
The Asistente Técnico Administrativo/a position at NRC El Salvador is designed to support the daily implementation of Human Resources and Logistics processes. The role involves providing timely and quality support services that contribute to the efficient functioning of the office and the achievement of organizational objectives. This includes adhering to NRC policies, procedures, and donor requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in onboarding new staff, managing payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with various departments to facilitate smooth operations and support the overall mission of NRC in providing humanitarian assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Human Resources Area: Assist in onboarding processes for new staff, including contract preparation, employer applications, and local induction management. Ensure proper documentation management related to onboarding and maintain updated personnel files in both physical and digital formats. Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate application of salaries, deductions, taxes, and labor benefits, as well as personnel registrations and terminations with relevant authorities. Prepare the Unique Payroll and Retention Reports, coordinating with Finance for payroll approvals and documentation in Office 36
  • Support the offboarding process for departing staff, including settlement calculations, termination letters, resignation responses, and mutual agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and NRC regulations. Assist in implementing staff welfare and care plans, as well as monitoring absences, leave, permits, and vacations. Manage inventory visibility and perform any other tasks assigned by supervisors to meet job objectives.
  • Logistics Area: Support the registration, updating, and maintenance of the Asset Control System (RAC). Assist in the final disposition of assets (sale, donation) for office closure. Provide logistical and administrative support for the team's activities. Ensure the timely dispatch of physical files to the CO office. Assist in procurement and contracting procedures, ensuring necessary documentation for process closure. Maintain an updated database of suppliers for the office. Support the preparation of reports and submissions to the CO office as requested. Assist in audit preparations related to procurement. Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor to achieve job objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Business Administration, Public Accounting, Economics, or related fields. A minimum of two years of experience in administrative, logistical, and human resources processes is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT tools is essential. Knowledge of labor laws is necessary, along with strong organizational skills, the ability to follow up, and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Educational Background:
A university degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Public Accounting, or Economics is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary knowledge and skills to handle the administrative and logistical responsibilities effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in administrative, logistical, and human resources processes. Experience working in humanitarian organizations, international cooperation, or development contexts is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in complex, dynamic environments and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with local stakeholders. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international teams and partners.
