Job Overview:
The HR Associate (Recruitment and System Support) position is designed to significantly impact global talent acquisition within UNOPS. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient execution of recruitment processes on a global scale. This role requires a strong focus on providing operational and advisory support to HR practitioners worldwide, contributing to a high-performing, people-centered organization. The HR Associate will play a key role in driving the adoption of a new talent management system, ensuring that HR practitioners are well-equipped to utilize the system effectively. The position involves collaborating with HR practitioners and hiring managers to manage recruitment processes, providing guidance on recruitment policies, and supporting the implementation of HR initiatives. The HR Associate will also be responsible for training and supporting HR personnel in using the new recruitment system, ensuring that all processes are streamlined and efficient.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
The position requires a secondary school education (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with 2 years of relevant experience. A globally or nationally recognized professional certificate in Human Resource Management (HRM) is desired. Candidates should have relevant experience in Human Resource Management and familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools, such as MS Office and G-Suite.
Educational Background:
Candidates must possess either a secondary school education with extensive relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A professional certificate in Human Resource Management is preferred but not mandatory. The educational background should reflect a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
Experience:
Candidates should have relevant experience in Human Resource Management, particularly in recruitment processes. Experience in using collaboration and productivity tools is essential. Desired experience includes working in multicultural environments or UN system organizations, particularly in developing countries, and familiarity with development or humanitarian contexts.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in French and Spanish is desirable. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in English, with additional language skills being an asset in a multicultural work environment.

The position is classified as an Associate level role (ICS 06) and is a home-based, remote position. The contract type is ICA - LICA - Support - Regular, with an ongoing duration. - Global Talent Acquisition Process Management: Partner with HR practitioners and hiring managers to manage recruitment processes, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and best practices. Facilitate and monitor ongoing recruitment processes, proactively identifying issues and moving stalled processes forward. Provide guidance on recruitment policies and support the mainstreaming of HR policy changes.
- Recruitment System Training and Support: Offer first-level support and troubleshooting for the Talent+ recruitment system. Provide hands-on guidance and training sessions for HR personnel on system functionalities. Support the drive for system adoption among HR practitioners.
- Operational Excellence and HR Initiative Support: Provide operational support for recruitment activities, including candidate checks. Monitor system usage and promote proper data entry methods. Communicate HR policy changes and support HR practitioners in efficient talent acquisition procedures.
