The AMEXCID-PNUD Cooperation Program (PROCAP) has been active since 2013 and is linked to the establishment of the Mexican International Cooperation System for Development. Its mission is to support the efforts of AMEXCID in transitioning towards an effective model that reflects the characteristics of a dual donor and recipient of cooperation, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 17, which aims to revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development. The program operates within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and aims to strengthen Mexico's international cooperation policy, aligning it with national development priorities. The program is currently in its third phase (2019-2025) and focuses on promoting international cooperation as a tool to achieve development priorities outlined in the National Development Plan 2019-202
  • It emphasizes the importance of institutional consolidation of AMEXCID and the establishment of strategic alliances with various stakeholders, including the private sector, academia, and civil society organizations, to enhance development cooperation efforts.

Job Overview:
The position of Asociado/a en Protocolos y Comunicación involves managing corporate events and handling the agendas of events organized by the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID). The role requires close communication with the agency's administrative units to analyze their event needs and requirements. The associate will recommend products and services based on these needs during event planning. Additionally, the position entails ensuring the dissemination of international cooperation actions in coordination with AMEXCID's various departments. The associate will be part of the operational structure of the Executive Directorate, which is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and following up on activities related to international economic organizations and bilateral economic relations, as well as technical, scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage corporate events and handle the agendas of events organized by AMEXCID.
  • Coordinate the logistics of seminars, conventions, workshops, and other events requested by various areas of the agency.
  • Communicate closely with the agency's administrative units to analyze their event needs and requirements.
  • Recommend products and services based on the understanding of the needs expressed by the agency's administrative units during event planning.
  • Ensure the dissemination of international cooperation actions in coordination with AMEXCID's departments.
  • Support the institutional consolidation of AMEXCID to strengthen South-South cooperation in Mexico through capacity development, policy strengthening, strategic alliances, and implementation of the Integral Development Plan.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a high school diploma as a minimum qualification. A bachelor's degree in Administration, Law, Communication, Political Science, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must possess negotiation and public relations skills, knowledge of administrative processes, and experience in the public sector. Desired qualifications include experience in managing high-level agendas and coordinating with various stakeholders, as well as experience in event coordination and logistics, particularly in the public sector, and media management.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma. A bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Administration, Law, Communication, or Political Science is preferred but not required. The educational background should support the skills necessary for effective event management and communication within the agency.

Experience:
Candidates with a high school diploma must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in event logistics and communication. Those with a bachelor's degree are required to have at least 4 years of experience in the aforementioned areas. Experience in the public sector and with high-level event coordination is highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, given the nature of the work and the target audience. Proficiency in English or other languages is considered a plus, as it may enhance communication with international partners and stakeholders.
