Job Overview:
The Marketing Cloud CRM and Communications Consultant position at UNESCO is designed to enhance the Global Education Monitoring Report (GEM Report) through the optimization of its Salesforce CRM ecosystem. The consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic and communication objectives of the GEM Report by improving engagement, segmentation, and reporting capabilities. This position requires a proactive approach to managing the Salesforce database, ensuring data integrity, and refining platform configurations to align with operational needs. The consultant will also be involved in digital communications initiatives, providing support for email marketing campaigns, event management, and content creation. The role demands a strong understanding of CRM systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining and optimizing the Salesforce database and Marketing Cloud. Key duties include:
  • Reviewing and assessing the current structure of the Salesforce database to identify and rectify data inconsistencies and duplicate records.
  • Cleaning and deduplicating records while ensuring contacts are accurately linked to their respective organizations.
  • Supporting the configuration and optimization of campaigns, reports, and dashboards in Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
  • Managing event registration processes and developing automated email journeys.
  • Providing ongoing technical support and guidance on best practices for Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud usage.
  • Creating and adapting email communications in multiple languages and supporting video content production.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of the GEM Report Wikipedia page and researching methods to enhance content visibility.
  • Conducting routine data quality reviews and supporting communications-related activities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completed secondary, technical, or vocational school education. Additionally, they should have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in email marketing and communications, with proven expertise in CRM support and database management. Strong communication and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities are also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completed secondary education, technical or vocational school training. While higher education may be beneficial, it is not explicitly required for this consultancy role.
