Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a range of tasks that support the DTHR's mission. These duties include: conducting research and analysis on various thematic and regional issues related to digital technology and human rights; assisting in the drafting and summarization of reports and background materials; preparing documentation for meetings, seminars, and workshops; drafting notes and reports from these events; and providing support for other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor. The intern will report directly to the Human Rights Officer and will work under the overall direction of the Chief of the DTHR Section. The specific daily responsibilities may vary based on the intern's qualifications and the activities within the assigned work section.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the internship" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">United Nations internship program, applicants must be either a recent graduate or currently enrolled in a graduate school program (Master's degree or equivalent) or a first-level university degree program (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in fields such as law, political science, international relations, social sciences, or a related area. Importantly, applicants are not required to have prior professional work experience to participate in the program. However, any training, education, or skills that can benefit the United Nations during the internship will be advantageous. Knowledge or experience in human rights, particularly in digital rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, is considered desirable.

Educational Background:
