Job Overview: The Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Team Member position is crucial for the effective implementation of mine action activities in Syria, particularly in Aleppo. The role requires the team member to perform various HMA tasks as assigned by the Team Leader and Technical Field Manager, including Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Battle Area Clearance (BAC), and Mine Risk Education (MMC). Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Team Member include: conducting all assigned HMA activities safely and in accordance with DRC SOPs; supporting or conducting EOD, BAC, and MMC operations based on training; maintaining high standards of discipline and conduct while collaborating with team members; reporting to the Team Leader regarding work assignments, task completion, attendance, and any issues related to logistics and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security; ensuring that all assigned equipment is secure and properly maintained, conducting regular checks, and reporting any malfunctions; actively participating in training to enhance technical skills; supporting other HMA teams as needed; driving DRC vehicles during operations while adhering to safety regulations; being prepared for deployment to other operational areas; and performing any additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader or Technical Field Manager to support operations.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Team Member position include a valid manual driving license (Category A) with the ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle in the field, physical fitness to perform demanding tasks in field conditions, and at least one year of experience working in a physically arduous environment, such as previous HMA field experience or similar physically demanding work environments.
