Localization Consultant – Sudan INGO Forum

Job Overview:
The Localization Consultant position is designed to support the Sudan INGO Forum in operationalizing its localization priorities. The consultant will be responsible for developing a practical localization strategy that enhances cooperation between international NGOs (INGOs) and national actors, including local NGOs (NNGOs), women-led organizations, and civil society actors. This role is crucial in addressing the severe humanitarian crisis in Sudan, where millions require assistance. Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including conducting stakeholder consultations and key informant discussions to inform localization priorities. They will provide a technical review of existing partnership practices and coordination approaches for NNGOs, support the identification of operational barriers affecting equitable partnerships, and engage with NNGO Forum leadership to identify priorities and opportunities for collaboration. The consultant will establish and support a Localization Working Group, lead the co-creation of a Sudan INGO Forum Localization Strategy, and conduct mapping of national NGOs and local actors.
