Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement biological components in the deployment of the early warning system for black sigatoka.
Collaborate with agricultural experts and stakeholders to ensure the system meets local needs.
Validate the effectiveness of the biological components through field testing and data collection.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of the early warning system, making adjustments as necessary.
Prepare detailed reports on the implementation process and outcomes, providing recommendations for future improvements.
Engage with local communities to raise awareness about the early warning system and its benefits.
Ensure compliance with UNDP guidelines and standards throughout the project.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in biological sciences, particularly in areas related to agriculture and plant pathology. Experience in implementing biological systems in agricultural settings is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
