Job Overview: The position of Coordination Support Expert for the RES Programme is designed to provide essential coordination and analytical support to the Renewable Energy Solutions (RES) Programme. The expert will be responsible for producing structured coordination analysis products and periodic reports that will facilitate the effective implementation of the RES Programme by UNDP and the Ministry of Communities and Territorial Development (MCTD). This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy sector, project management, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. The expert will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the programme is executed in an organized, traceable, and evidence-based manner throughout the assignment period, which is set for 12 months.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Coordination Support Expert include but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining a structured set of coordination analysis products that reflect the progress and challenges of the RES Programme.
Preparing periodic reports that summarize findings, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders involved in the programme.
Collaborating with UNDP and MCTD teams to ensure alignment of programme activities with national policies and strategies.
Conducting research and analysis on renewable energy trends, policies, and best practices to inform programme implementation.
Facilitating communication and coordination among various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
Organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, and consultations to gather input and feedback on programme activities.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programme interventions and suggesting improvements based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Coordination Support Expert position should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in project management, particularly in the renewable energy sector or related fields.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with UNDP's operational procedures and procurement processes is an advantage.
Proficiency in using data analysis and project management tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Background: Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, energy management, public policy, or a related discipline. A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, coordination, or analysis, particularly in the renewable energy sector or sustainable development. Experience working with international organizations or government agencies is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian is considered an asset and may enhance communication with local stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position is home-based and is offered as an individual contractor role for a duration of 12 months. The expert will be expected to work flexible hours to accommodate communication with stakeholders across different time zones. The contract may be extended based on performance and project needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and the expert will be responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
