Job Overview:
The position of Individual Consultant for Survivor-Centred TFGBV Training and Institutional Capacity Building involves providing specialized training and support to enhance institutional capacities in addressing gender-based violence. The consultant will be responsible for developing and delivering training modules that are survivor-centered, ensuring that the needs and rights of survivors are prioritized. This role requires a deep understanding of gender issues, GBV prevention strategies, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations. The consultant will work closely with UNDP to align training objectives with the organization's mission and goals, contributing to the overall enhancement of institutional responses to GBV.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and modules focused on survivor-centered approaches to gender-based violence.
  • Conduct training sessions for various stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community leaders, to build their capacity in addressing GBV.
  • Assess the training needs of participants and tailor training content accordingly.
  • Facilitate discussions and workshops that promote understanding of GBV issues and survivor rights.
  • Collaborate with UNDP and other partners to ensure training aligns with national and international standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to participants post-training to reinforce learning and application of skills.
  • Prepare detailed reports on training outcomes and participant feedback for UNDP.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in gender studies, social work, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in conducting training on gender-based violence and survivor-centered approaches.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and policy frameworks surrounding GBV at both national and international levels.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with UN agencies or similar organizations is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in GBV training or related areas will be considered an asset.

Experience:
At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of gender-based violence, with a focus on training and capacity building. Experience working with survivors of GBV and understanding their needs is essential. Previous experience with UNDP or similar international organizations is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Urdu or other local languages is an asset, as it will facilitate better communication with participants and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is 30 working days spread over 7 months, commencing from the date of signing the contract. This is a consultancy role, and the consultant will be expected to submit proposals directly through the UNDP supplier portal. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
