Job Overview:
The position of HR Recruitment Consultant/PSA is situated within the Talent Acquisition Branch of the Human Resources Division at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. The role is crucial in supporting FAO's mission by ensuring that the organization attracts and retains a diverse and skilled workforce. The consultant or PSA will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and best practices. This position requires a proactive approach to talent acquisition, including planning staffing needs, conducting pre-screening of applications, and facilitating the end-to-end recruitment process. The consultant will also be involved in monitoring recruitment timelines and contributing to the achievement of corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to recruitment efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Recruitment Consultant/PSA will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to: advising hiring managers on recruitment processes and timelines; conducting pre-screening of applications to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements; assisting in the planning of staffing needs; coordinating vacancy postings, assessments, and interview activities; drafting and reviewing selection reports; monitoring recruitment timelines; liaising with stakeholders to facilitate recruitment processes; preparing communication and reports related to recruitment activities; participating in interview panels; and performing other related duties as required. The PSA will also support talent acquisition activities in accordance with FAO regulations and assist in the administration of pre-interview assessments and interview logistics.

Required Qualifications:
For Consultants, the minimum requirements include an advanced university degree (Master’s level or equivalent) in human resources management, law, business administration with a focus on human resources, organizational development, or a related field. Candidates with a bachelor's degree must have two additional years of relevant professional experience. Additionally, a minimum of one year (level C), five years (level B), or ten years (level A) of relevant experience in HR management and administration within an international organization context, specifically in talent acquisition, is required. For PSAs, a university degree or technical degree/certificate in a related field is necessary, along with similar experience requirements as for consultants. Proficiency in English is mandatory for both positions.

Educational Background:
Candidates for the HR Recruitment Consultant/PSA position must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree level or equivalent) from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in fields such as human resources management, law, business administration with a focus on human resources, or organizational development. For those applying as PSAs, a university degree or technical degree/certificate in a related field is acceptable. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in human resources principles and practices.

Experience:
The level of experience required for the HR Recruitment Consultant/PSA position varies based on the level of the role.
