Job Overview:
The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring effective grants management and partnership processes throughout the project cycle for the Iraq-Jordan country office. This position involves close collaboration with program and support teams in both countries, focusing on quality assurance in reporting, donor compliance, and alignment with DRC’s Project Cycle Management guidelines. The Coordinator is responsible for partner mapping, selection, vetting, and conducting assessments in accordance with DRC policies. Additionally, the role includes leading new business development initiatives and providing technical supervision to the Grants and Partnerships team. The individual will report directly to the Head of Programme and is expected to facilitate communication across various departments to ensure successful project implementation and compliance with donor expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the Grants and Partnerships Coordinator include: coordinating the development of concept notes and proposals in collaboration with technical coordinators and field staff; facilitating communication across departments for proposal drafting; ensuring regular project monitoring meetings are held; leading grants management processes; supporting partnership coordination and engagement; conducting field visits to monitor program progress; maintaining up-to-date information on donor strategies and funding opportunities; supporting recruitment and management of partnerships and grants staff; overseeing internal and external reporting; maintaining the grants and report tracking system; developing partnership management tools and guidelines; conducting capacity-building activities for partners; and strengthening relationships with local partners and DRC colleagues.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of experience in a similar role that includes proposal development, reporting, grants management, and partnership management. Candidates should have knowledge of key institutional donor regulations and proven ability to develop successful proposals for both public and private-sector donors. Strong networking, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing tasks under pressure. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and respect in a multicultural context and have high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic is required.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field, which is preferred for this role. This educational background is essential to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in grants management and partnership coordination within the humanitarian sector.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar position, which includes responsibilities related to proposal development, reporting, grants management, and partnership management. This level of experience is crucial for effectively navigating the challenges and requirements of the role, ensuring compliance with donor expectations, and leading successful project initiatives.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is mandatory for this position, as effective communication in both languages is essential for collaboration with diverse stakeholders and partners. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
