Job Overview:
The logistics-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Manager for the Cuba Crisis-Response will oversee all logistics activities related to the receipt, storage, warehousing, dispatch, and distribution of goods essential for delivering high-quality humanitarian response programming. This role is critical in ensuring that vulnerable households in Cuba receive timely and effective assistance in security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security, water, sanitation, hygiene, and shelter. The manager will leverage their knowledge and experience to anticipate and manage logistics needs and challenges, ensuring compliance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local inventory accountability standards. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure efficient supply chain management and high-quality program delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties including: collaborating with programming leads to conduct pipeline analyses and synchronize the supply of goods with programming needs; managing logistics service requirements and ensuring proper coordination and communication; anticipating and addressing potential supply chain problems; effectively managing and supervising logistics staff; assessing transportation resources and storage facilities; maintaining relationships with port operations, freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers; participating in coordination meetings; planning and managing the supply chain from customs clearance to distribution; ensuring adherence to shipping and distribution plans; providing support to partner staff responsible for logistics; preparing accurate product movement reports; overseeing inventory movements in the Insight system; and fostering a learning environment for staff and partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field, along with a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in supply chain or logistics management, demonstrating progressive responsibility. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field, experience in relief supply chain management, professional certifications in Supply Chain, and familiarity with commodity tracking systems. Experience in logistics management within Latin America and the Caribbean is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a related field as a minimum educational qualification. A Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field is preferred, as it indicates a higher level of expertise and understanding of complex logistics systems.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in supply chain or logistics management. This experience should include progressive responsibility, demonstrating the ability to manage logistics operations effectively and efficiently.

Languages:
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required for this position, as effective communication is essential in coordinating logistics activities and collaborating with diverse teams.
