Job Overview:
The NES logistics-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics and supply chain operations for Solidarités International’s North-East Syria bases. This role is crucial for ensuring timely, efficient, and compliant support to programs in Raqqa and Hassakeh. The manager will report to the NES Field Coordinator and work closely with the Logistics Coordinator. Key responsibilities include managing procurement, transport, warehousing, assets, fleet, facilities, and logistics teams. The position also involves ensuring compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements, supporting operational planning and resource forecasting, and serving as the primary logistics focal point for NES operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
The NES Logistics Manager will lead and coordinate all procurement and supply chain activities across the NES bases, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities include overseeing supplier management, tendering processes, contract administration, framework agreements, and procurement planning, while ensuring compliance with Solidarités International and donor regulations. The manager will monitor logistics budgets and contribute to operational planning and forecasting. Additionally, the role involves managing vehicle fleet operations, including maintenance, fuel consumption monitoring, movement planning, documentation, and driver supervision. The manager will also oversee warehouse and storage operations, ensuring appropriate storage conditions, stock accuracy, inventory controls, and compliance with stock management procedures. Team leadership is a critical aspect, as the manager will supervise logistics staff, manage workloads, recruit, train, coach, and evaluate performance. Coordination with program, finance, HR, and coordination teams is essential to align logistics support with operational priorities and program needs. The manager will implement logistics-related security measures, ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements, maintain accurate reporting and archiving systems, and monitor key logistics indicators to support decision-making and donor reporting.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field such as Business Administration. Professional certifications or training in logistics are considered a plus. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 1-3 years in a similar position. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills in humanitarian supply chain management, including procurement, fleet, stock, IT, and asset management, along with experience in reporting, compliance, and team supervision. Proven experience in fleet management, warehouse and stock control, and asset management is essential. Familiarity with procurement processes, donor compliance requirements, and logistics reporting is also necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Additional training or professional certification in logistics is advantageous and may enhance a candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
The NES Logistics Manager position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 1-3 years in a similar logistics management role. Candidates should have a proven track record in humanitarian supply chain management, demonstrating their ability to manage procurement, fleet operations, stock control, and asset management effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication and coordination within the team and with external stakeholders.
