Job Overview:

This position is essential to ensure that all programs and operations have the necessary goods and services available when needed, thereby supporting high-quality programs aimed at serving the poor and vulnerable populations. The officer will leverage their knowledge and experience to coordinate logistics needs and address challenges, applying principles of stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability throughout the process. The role involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure that logistics services align with pipeline requirements and that challenges in supply chain management are effectively identified and addressed. The officer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and donor regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including coordinating with the supply chain team and relevant programming staff to ensure logistics services meet pipeline requirements. They will identify challenges in supply chain management and provide actionable recommendations. The officer will support the implementation of shipping and customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with CRS and donor regulations, as well as international and local supply chain standards. They will collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely purchase requisitions are submitted with detailed specifications and delivery schedules. Regular coaching and support will be provided to CRS and partner staff to ensure they can implement logistics processes accurately and transparently. The officer will also coordinate activities related to commodity receipt and payment requests to vendors, maintain updated shipping documents, and ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded in the Insight system. Additionally, they will prepare and review reports prior to submission according to distribution requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field, along with at least 2 years of work experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement management. Fresh graduates may also be considered for this role. Preferred qualifications include professional certifications in supply chain management or a related field, experience working in international organizations, and familiarity with commodity tracking systems. Experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is highly desirable, as it will enhance the candidate's understanding of the regional context and operational challenges.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding logistics processes, supply chain dynamics, and procurement management.
