Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for several key duties, including: drafting an analytical assessment report that identifies and evaluates key cross-border and transboundary issues affecting Syria and its neighboring Arab countries; presenting a summary of the report as needed and upon request; conducting thorough research and analysis to support the development of the background paper; collaborating with ESCWA and other partners to ensure that the paper aligns with ongoing initiatives and objectives; and facilitating knowledge exchange among stakeholders to promote understanding and cooperation on regional issues. The consultant will also be expected to engage with various stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives that will inform the report and its recommendations.
