Job Overview:
The position of Associado(a) de Biblioteconomia is integral to the project aimed at enhancing the Brazilian judiciary system through the development of educational methodologies, research, and tools. The role involves supporting the implementation of knowledge management and digital library initiatives, ensuring the technical quality of curation, organization, and dissemination of information. The associate will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Academic Management Secretariat and the Project Management Unit (UGP) of UNDP, to facilitate the effective functioning of the digital library and contribute to the overall objectives of the project. The project targets approximately 18,000 judges and up to 40 judicial schools, aiming to strengthen the judiciary's capacity to meet societal expectations. The position is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the judiciary through innovative training and knowledge management strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associado(a) de Biblioteconomia include:
  • Supporting the management of the Digital Library of Enfam (BDE) by assisting in planning, organizing, and implementing actions related to the BDE.
  • Curating content and cataloging legal and educational documents.
  • Providing operational and technical support to users of the BDE.
  • Monitoring the execution of BDE activities and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Organizing and updating digital records, documents, and archives.
  • Supporting the documentation of actions, materials, and results, and contributing to the production of management reports.
  • Conducting bibliographic research to support educational content and initiatives.
  • Assisting in editorial tasks, including plagiarism checks and bibliographic normalization.
  • Contributing to the development of metadata, descriptors, and research guides. 1
  • Ensuring the use of accessible language and adherence to international cataloging standards. 1
  • Producing diagnostics and reports to document challenges and advancements in the area of information management.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the position include a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in library science, information management, or related fields for candidates with a high school diploma, or a minimum of 3 years for those with a university degree. Candidates should have experience in managing digital libraries, curating digital information, and implementing knowledge management strategies. Proficiency in information technology applied to libraries and digital repositories is essential, along with familiarity with library management systems and metadata organization tools. Experience in the public sector, particularly within justice or educational institutions, is highly desirable. Knowledge of digital preservation practices and copyright management is also beneficial.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma as a minimum requirement. However, a university degree in Library Science, Information Science, Knowledge Management, or related fields will be given due consideration. Candidates with advanced degrees may have an advantage in the selection process, but it is not a strict requirement.

Experience:
Candidates are expected to have a significant level of experience, with a minimum of 6 years in relevant fields for those with a high school diploma, or 3 years for those with a university degree. Languages:
