Job Overview: The Admin and Finance Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of a project aimed at enhancing biodiversity conservation in Yemen's coastal governorates. This position requires a high level of accuracy and consistency in administrative and financial tasks. The Associate will work closely with the Project Manager and project staff to ensure effective project delivery. Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Ensure compliance with UNDP financial rules and regulations, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and manage project budgets.
Administrative Support: Provide logistical support for project activities, including organizing workshops, training sessions, and travel arrangements.
Knowledge of UNDP procedures and policies is an asset.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Educational Background: A secondary education is required for this position, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in finance or project management may also be beneficial.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in finance and administration if they possess a secondary education. Those with a Bachelor's degree are required to have at least 4 years of progressive experience in similar roles. Experience in the UN system or with international NGOs, particularly in emergency and recovery programs, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and oral, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
