Job Overview: The consultant will provide specialized technical assistance to the Education team in designing, implementing, and monitoring actions related to secondary school transformation projects. This includes working on the monitoring and evaluation component of the Innovative Schools Network program, implementing the network in Córdoba province, and providing technical support for advancing secondary school transformation in Tucumán province. The role is crucial in ensuring that educational initiatives meet the needs of children and adolescents, aligning with UNICEF's mission to uphold their rights and improve educational outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to the Education team in the design and implementation of secondary school transformation projects.
Monitor and evaluate the Innovative Schools Network program, ensuring compliance with educational standards and objectives.
Collaborate with local governments, educational institutions, and NGOs to facilitate the implementation of educational initiatives.
Conduct assessments and analyses of educational policies and practices to inform project development.
Prepare reports and presentations based on data analysis and project evaluations.
Engage with stakeholders to promote the objectives of the secondary education transformation initiatives.
Ensure that all activities align with UNICEF's values and mission, particularly regarding children's rights and educational access.
Required Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a senior professional in the field of Education Sciences, Sociology, or related fields, with proven experience in providing technical assistance to education ministries at various government levels. Candidates should have a strong background in children's rights and adolescent policies, demonstrating a commitment to educational equity and access.
Educational Background: A university degree in Education Sciences, Sociology, or related fields is required. Postgraduate studies, specializations, or specific training related to Education Sciences or Sociology are highly valued and preferred.
Experience: Candidates must have over 5 years of proven experience in education-related projects, both in management and research capacities, particularly in secondary education. At least 5 years of documented experience in providing technical assistance related to the right to education for children and adolescents is essential. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring educational evaluations, as well as experience in coordinating with various stakeholders for large-scale projects.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is considered an asset. Knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial but is not required.
