Job Overview:
The Project Associate will play a vital role in supporting the CCM Secretariat by providing logistical and administrative assistance. This position requires close collaboration with the Coordinator of the CCM Secretariat to ensure the smooth operation of the CCM and adherence to UNDP administrative procedures. The Project Associate will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks, facilitating meetings, and ensuring that project activities are executed efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of the CCM and supporting its objectives in line with the Global Fund's guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Associate will be tasked with a variety of duties including:
  • Providing effective administrative and financial support by managing logistics for the CCM and other UNDP projects, arranging meetings, drafting minutes, and maintaining project files.
  • Preparing payment requests and advising stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Overseeing procurement processes for project implementation, ensuring compliance with UNDP procedures.
  • Making logistical arrangements for project activities, including events and meetings.
  • Supporting knowledge sharing and capacity building initiatives, participating in training, and disseminating relevant data and lessons learned.
  • Compiling and systematizing project knowledge and tools for distribution to partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or project experience with a secondary education or 3 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Experience in supporting projects, particularly in collaboration with donor organizations, governmental institutions, NGOs, or consulting firms is essential. Proficiency in using computers and financial tools is required, along with a strong background in administrative tasks such as file management and event preparation.

Educational Background:
Completion of secondary education is required. A University Degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with relevant experience may still be considered favorably even without a degree.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience for candidates with secondary education or 3 years for those with a Bachelor’s degree. This experience should include administrative or project support roles, particularly in environments that require coordination with various stakeholders and managing project logistics.

Languages:
Fluency in Dutch and English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
