Job Overview:
The position of Assistente Técnico(a) is crucial for supporting the implementation of a project aimed at integrated management of the Atlantic Forest landscapes in the state of Rio de Janeiro. This project is in collaboration with the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (SEAS-RJ) and focuses on biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, forest production, bioeconomy consolidation, and carbon credit generation. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistente Técnico(a) will have a wide range of responsibilities including: supporting project planning, monitoring, and evaluation; assisting in the analysis and review of project indicators and goals; implementing evaluation tools for project results; preparing technical reports and annual progress reports; facilitating meetings and workshops with stakeholders; supervising specialized consultancy teams; supporting the development of technical instruments and protocols; conducting field visits to partner organizations; and ensuring inter-institutional cooperation. The assistant will also be responsible for maintaining communication with project stakeholders and contributing to knowledge sharing and best practices within the project framework.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, with preference given to those holding a university degree in Environmental Sciences, Forestry Engineering, or related fields. A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in project management and development in areas such as bioeconomy, forest restoration, and carbon mitigation strategies is required for those with a high school diploma, while candidates with a university degree need at least one year of experience. Experience in technical assistance for environmental projects and familiarity with international conservation programs in Rio de Janeiro are also essential.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a completed high school diploma as a minimum requirement. A university degree in Environmental Sciences, Forestry Engineering, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of environmental management and project implementation in the context of the Atlantic Forest.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience for candidates with a high school diploma, or one year for those with a university degree.
