Job Overview:
The Fundraising Associate (Digital Paid Media) is responsible for implementing and optimizing UNICEF’s digital fundraising strategy through paid media channels. This role involves supporting the execution and monitoring of digital acquisition campaigns, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s global fundraising objectives. The incumbent will leverage data-driven insights to optimize paid media investments and engage potential donors through innovative digital approaches. By enhancing UNICEF’s online fundraising capabilities, this position contributes to long-term financial sustainability and increased impact for children in need.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Digital Fundraising Strategy and Implementation: Support the development and implementation of digital fundraising campaigns focused on donor acquisition, cash contributions, email marketing, and lead generation. Define key performance indicators (KPIs), establish reporting frameworks, and monitor campaign effectiveness. Assist in designing lead generation initiatives, including value exchange campaigns on social media platforms. Work closely with data analysts to enhance audience segmentation and targeting accuracy. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to maximize fundraising efficiency and ROI.
  • Campaign Execution and Optimization: Oversee the end-to-end execution of digital fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with the PSFR Annual Plan. Support the management and monitoring of paid media investments across multiple digital channels. Ensure timely campaign rollouts and collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling digital content. Support high-impact campaigns during key fundraising periods to maximize revenue and donor acquisition opportunities.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement: Conduct ongoing analysis of campaign performance, identifying areas for optimization. Track and assess key metrics, making data-driven recommendations for campaign refinements. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, providing actionable insights into campaign effectiveness.
  • Budget and Administrative Management: Oversee budgeting, procurement, and invoicing processes for digital campaigns. Manage relationships with external media agencies and maintain documentation of campaign strategies and performance results.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of secondary education is required, with additional training or university-level coursework in management, marketing, sales, communications, digital media, or related fields highly desirable. A strong foundation in digital marketing strategies, data analysis, and fundraising methodologies is considered an asset. Certifications in digital advertising, social media marketing, or CRM tools are advantageous. A minimum of six years of progressively responsible work experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, or donor acquisition is required, with a demonstrated ability to manage and optimize digital campaigns for revenue growth. A bachelor’s degree may replace three years of related work experience, while a master’s degree may replace an additional two years.

Educational Background:
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant field is preferred. Completion of secondary education is required, with additional training or coursework in relevant areas being highly desirable.

Experience:
A minimum of six years of progressively responsible work experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, or donor acquisition is required. Experience in managing sales teams, supervising groups, or leading fundraising initiatives, particularly in the nonprofit sector, is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with digital advertising platforms and multi-channel fundraising strategies is a strong asset.

Languages:
Intermediate level of English (B1) and fluency in Spanish are required for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
