Job Overview: The People and Culture Officer P2 will play a crucial role in partnering with managers and staff to support their goals and strategies. Under the guidance of the People and Culture manager, the officer will execute HR services, applying theoretical HR models and understanding organizational HR policies and procedures. Key accountabilities include business partnering, strategic human resources, and supporting the implementation of assigned HR services, as well as learning and capacity development.
Duties and Responsibilities: The People and Culture Officer P2 will be responsible for a variety of key accountabilities, including:
Business Partnering: Collaborate with managers and staff to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
Strategic Human Resources: Develop and implement HR strategies that support emergency and humanitarian initiatives.
HR Services Execution: Provide HR services by applying knowledge of HR models and organizational policies.
Data Collection and Analysis: Support knowledge management and decision-making through effective data collection and analysis.
Learning and Capacity Development: Facilitate learning opportunities and capacity development initiatives for staff.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to UNICEF's policies and procedures in all HR activities.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management, International Relations, or related fields. A minimum of two years of professional experience in human resource management within an international organization or large corporation is required. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in strategic human resources and business partnering, particularly in emergency contexts. Knowledge of HR policies and procedures is essential, along with experience in data collection and analysis.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in relevant fields such as Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management, International Relations, or related disciplines. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of human resource management and organizational behavior.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in human resource management, preferably within an international organization or large corporation. Experience in recruitment administration, talent management support, and hands-on HR functions such as onboarding, payroll, and offboarding is highly desirable. Familiarity with change management and organizational development will be considered an asset.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
