Job Overview: The Senior Data and Systems Management Consultant role at UNICEF is a critical position aimed at overseeing and optimizing the organization's data management processes and technological infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Data and Systems Management Consultant include:
Enhancing system security by implementing new security measures and protocols to protect against potential threats and unauthorized access.
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data through regular auditing and cleansing processes.
Providing support for payment processes and system integration with Artificial Intelligence technologies.
Tracking and monitoring performance issues to optimize system performance and ensure smooth operations.
Addressing any infrastructure-related challenges that may arise, ensuring that systems are functioning efficiently.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Leading initiatives to improve data management practices and administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration processes.
Conducting training sessions for staff on data management and system security best practices.
Staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in data management and cybersecurity to ensure UNICEF's systems remain secure and efficient.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in data management, systems administration and security, networking, application development, and Azure cloud computing platforms. At least 3 years of this experience must be within non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Candidates must also have at least 3 years of hands-on practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, security, application gateways, and hybrid connectivity. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with excellent project management and collaboration abilities.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complex technical requirements of the role and for effectively managing data and systems within UNICEF's infrastructure.
Experience: Candidates are required to have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields such as data management, systems administration, security, networking, application development, and Azure cloud computing platforms. This extensive experience is necessary to ensure that the consultant can effectively oversee and optimize UNICEF's data management processes and technological infrastructure.

Additional Notes: The consultancy position is for a fixed duration from 01 August 2026 to 31 July 2027, totaling 12 months.
