Job Overview:
The Marketing Services for Individual Giving Assistant will be an integral part of the Marketing Services area within the Resource Mobilization and Partnership section. This role focuses on working with individual donors and corporate partners to enhance children's rights. The assistant will be responsible for adapting, creating, and reviewing fundraising content and materials specifically for individual fundraising purposes. The position requires proactive engagement in searching for global content and materials, ensuring that all outputs meet UNICEF's quality standards, and collaborating closely with various teams to develop effective fundraising activities. The assistant will also support the creation of briefings for external partners and participate in relevant webinars and meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adapt, create, and review fundraising content and materials for individual fundraising purposes.
  • Proactively search for and present global content and materials for Individual Giving (IG) campaigns, ensuring necessary adaptations for national use.
  • Ensure all outputs meet UNICEF's quality standards and align with the organization's branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with peers within each Individual Giving channel to gather information and materials for developing activities.
  • Maintain constant communication with the Communications area to identify events and content opportunities for individual giving channels.
  • Support the creation of briefings for agencies, freelancers, and photographers as needed.
  • Organize, back up, and upload all campaign materials and products onto SharePoint.
  • Participate in webinars and meetings related to individual giving fundraising when necessary.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by a university degree in Communication, Journalism, Mass Media, Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, or Marketing.
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in communication or marketing, with at least 2 years in fundraising communication and content production.
  • Ability to follow creative briefs and produce accurate information.
  • Experience working for an international organization or NGO is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity are essential.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have completed secondary education, with a preference for those who have a university degree in relevant fields such as Communication, Journalism, Mass Media, Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, or Marketing. This educational background is crucial for understanding the nuances of communication and marketing in a fundraising context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the communication or marketing field, with at least 2 years specifically focused on fundraising communication and content production. This level of experience is necessary to ensure that the candidate can effectively contribute to the organization's fundraising efforts and understand the complexities involved in working with individual donors and corporate partners.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese and English is required for this position. Knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset, as it may enhance communication with a broader range of stakeholders and partners.
