Job Overview: The Organizational DevelopmentIntern will play a crucial role in supporting the OHCHR's Strategic Planning, Programme Management, Evaluation, and Change Service (SPECS) Functions, particularly in the context of organizational transformation. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: conducting research and compiling information from various sources, particularly focusing on the role of Foresight in achieving programme impact; analyzing global trends related to human rights from political, geographical, and thematic perspectives; contributing to the development of global foresight scans and scenario-building tools, utilizing AI where applicable; assisting in the creation of communication materials such as reports, presentations, infographics, and videos; providing administrative and logistical support for meetings, boards, committees, and conferences; and performing any other tasks as assigned by the Senior Programme Management Officer. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: (a) be enrolled in or have completed a second university degree, equivalent, or higher; (b) be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree (bachelor's degree or equivalent). While previous work experience is not mandatory, having a field of study closely related to the internship, such as Data Analytics/Science, Risk Management, International Relations, Political Science, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Studies, or Human Rights issues, is considered advantageous. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate excellent drafting abilities in English and provide a description of how they meet this criterion.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, either currently enrolled in or having completed a second university degree or the final year of a first university degree. Fields of study that are particularly relevant include Data Analytics/Science, Risk Management, International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, and Human Rights issues. This educational foundation will equip the intern with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively contribute to the tasks and responsibilities outlined in the internship.
Experience: While prior work experience is not a requirement for this internship, candidates are encouraged to have relevant academic experience or coursework that aligns with the responsibilities of the position.
