Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

The role includes providing strategic, logistical, and programmatic support to senior management, maintaining knowledge of current and prospective partners, and expanding UNICEF's network. The Partnership Manager will develop and implement annual partnership engagement and resource mobilization plans, contribute to new practices in partnership development, and assist in creating communications and advocacy products. Additionally, they will guide, train, and coach short-term staff, including interns and consultants, to ensure the team's success.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development, or a relevant technical field. A minimum of eight years of professional experience in public affairs, program management, resource mobilization, external relations, or a related area is required. The role demands strong partnership development and resource mobilization skills, solid policy analysis capabilities, experience in international development, effective negotiation skills, and the ability to support planning and policy development.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree is required for this position, specifically in fields such as international relations, political science, communications, international development, or other relevant technical disciplines. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of partnership development and resource mobilization within UNICEF's framework.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of eight years of professional experience in relevant fields such as public affairs, program management, resource mobilization, or external relations. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in international development, particularly in fragile settings and humanitarian contexts, which is highly desirable for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and partners effectively.
