Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a Training and Methodological Package that includes a comprehensive curriculum based on international human rights standards and national legislation. This involves creating a program structure with modules, learning objectives, and outcomes, integrating key human rights conventions, and adapting the content to the Kyrgyz context.
  • Prepare training materials, including presentations, practical case studies, and handouts, ensuring that they are accessible and relevant to the target audience.
  • Organize and deliver a series of training sessions for lawyers, utilizing interactive methods such as role-playing, group discussions, and case studies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Develop assessment tools to evaluate participants' knowledge and skills before and after the training, ensuring that feedback is gathered to improve future sessions.
  • Create practical legal tools for lawyers, including bilingual guides and checklists, to assist them in their practice and improve their interactions with victims of violence.
  • Compile a final report summarizing all activities, outputs, and recommendations for future training initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law, human rights, gender studies, social science, disability studies, or a related field. A first-level university degree combined with relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years focused on gender issues, including prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), child protection, and disability inclusion. Proven experience in addressing violence against women and girls, as well as familiarity with the barriers faced by vulnerable groups, is essential. Candidates should also have experience collaborating with legal professionals and justice sector actors on people-centered justice initiatives.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in relevant fields such as law, human rights, gender studies, social science, or disability studies. A first-level university degree may be acceptable if combined with significant professional experience in related areas. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of human rights law and the specific needs of vulnerable populations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to gender issues, particularly in the context of SGBV prevention and response, child protection, and disability rights. Languages:
Fluency in oral and written Russian is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication in Kyrgyzstan.
