Job Overview:
The position of Assistant(e) Sécurité et Accès involves providing support to the security, safety, and access service through various missions. The candidate will play a crucial role in crisis management, ensuring effective documentation and archiving during Regional or HQ Crisis Management Team (CMT) meetings. Responsibilities include organizing a RetEx (Return of Experience) after each CMT, preparing necessary materials in advance, and facilitating experience sharing among potential members at regional or HQ CMTs. The role also entails monitoring security incident statistics and associated action plans, reviewing existing tools, drafting specific protocols for pre-identified crisis types, and animating the Security and Access Unit. The candidate will compile and send Security Watch reports, conduct monthly reviews, and prepare support documents for meetings, particularly Security Committees. Additionally, the candidate may delegate other projects, such as organizing a road safety awareness campaign.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
  • Acting as a note-taker and archivist during Regional or HQ CMT meetings.
  • Organizing RetEx sessions after each CMT, including preparation of materials.
  • Facilitating experience sharing with all potential members at regional or HQ CMTs.
  • Organizing RetEx after each IMT (Country Office level) with assistance in preparing materials.
  • Monitoring security incident statistics and developing associated action plans.
  • Reviewing existing tools and drafting specific protocols for pre-identified crisis types.
  • Compiling and sending Security Watch reports and conducting monthly reviews.
  • Writing the annual security report.
  • Preparing support documents for meetings, especially Security Committees. 1
  • Following procedures and archiving documents related to briefings, mandatory training, and security briefing materials. 1
  • Taking notes during meetings. 1
  • Potentially delegating other projects such as organizing a road safety awareness campaign.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Enrollment in a master's program in security, international relations, risk management, humanitarian studies, or a related field.
  • A strong commitment to humanitarian values and the ability to contribute to the safety of humanitarian operations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, structuring, and synthesizing information, particularly related to risks, security, or operational environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift.
  • Motivation for meaningful work aligned with humanitarian values and involving collaboration with multicultural teams, both in France and internationally.

Educational Background:
Candidates are required to be pursuing a master's degree in relevant fields such as security, international relations, risk management, humanitarian studies, or any related discipline. This educational background is essential to ensure the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and understanding of the complexities involved in humanitarian security operations.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have relevant experience, which may include internships or volunteer work in security, humanitarian assistance, or related fields. While specific years of experience may not be mandated, a demonstrated understanding of security protocols and crisis management within humanitarian contexts will be highly valued. Candidates should be able to showcase their ability to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, given the location and the nature of the work. Proficiency in English is also highly desirable, as it may be necessary for communication with international teams and stakeholders. Additional languages relevant to the regions where Action contre la Faim operates would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a professionalization or apprenticeship contract with a duration of 12 months. The work location is in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), with a desired rhythm of two weeks in the company followed by one week of courses. The salary is based on the legal minimum, adjusted according to age and level of education, spread over 13 months. Employees are entitled to 21 days of RTT (reduction of working time) prorated based on presence, and 25 days of paid leave also prorated. Health coverage is provided at 80% by ACF, and transportation costs are covered at 50% for the commute between home and workplace. Meal vouchers are subsidized at 60% by the organization, valued at 8 euros, along with 170 euros per year for social works and discounts on cinema tickets. The organization supports telework, allowing employees to choose to work fully or partially from home, with a defined requirement for four days of presence at the headquarters per month. Additionally, there will be collective presence days dedicated to meetings and events, averaging three days per month, and two mandatory days of presence during the first six weeks of integration into the team.
