Job Overview:
The Associate Scrum Master position at the World Bank is a pivotal role within the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit. This unit is instrumental in enabling the World Bank Group to fulfill its mission of eradicating extreme poverty and enhancing shared prosperity through the delivery of transformative information and technologies. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile methodologies within the Knowledge for Operations program, which supports the implementation of the Knowledge 360 platform. This role requires a strong focus on coaching Agile teams, ensuring alignment with SAFe principles, and delivering high-quality, AI-driven knowledge solutions that empower operational staff and sector experts. The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader, fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous improvement, and effective communication across teams, ultimately contributing to the World Bank's Knowledge Agenda.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Scrum Master include:

• Coaching the Agile Team: Assisting teams in self-organization and self-management, promoting effective Lean-Agile methods, and fostering high-performing team dynamics.
• Facilitating Agile/SAFe ceremonies to ensure effective collaboration and communication across teams.
• Monitoring team progress and utilizing metrics to identify areas for improvement, helping to resolve impediments that affect productivity.
• Facilitating cross-team collaboration to enhance overall team performance.
• Guiding the preparation process for Program Increment (PI) planning, drafting PI plans in coordination with the Agile team, and assisting the product owner in refining and prioritizing the product backlog.
• Identifying, tracking, and managing dependencies to ensure that sprints are executed as planned, aligning team efforts with strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Associate Scrum Master position typically require a Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field. Additionally, candidates must possess a SAFe Scrum Master certification, which demonstrates their understanding and capability in Agile methodologies and frameworks.
