Job Overview:
The Senior SRH Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing all Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services and activities within the Darfur region. This position is pivotal in ensuring that emergency SRH interventions align with the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) and adhere to global best practices. The SRH program encompasses a variety of services, including clinical management of rape, antenatal and postnatal care, emergency obstetric and neonatal care (EmONC), family planning, and menstrual hygiene management. The Senior SRH Manager is responsible for leading the SRH portfolio, coordinating operations, providing training and coaching to healthcare providers, managing SRH data, and collaborating with other agencies to ensure integrated SRH activities. This role requires a proactive approach to addressing the critical gaps in SRH services and promoting equitable access to care in a challenging humanitarian context.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior SRH Manager's responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of quality SRH program activities in health facilities, providing technical oversight and training to health staff, supporting community mobilization efforts, leading emergency preparedness planning, ensuring proper data recording, conducting field monitoring visits, compiling SRH reports, assessing SRH needs, assisting in proposal writing for funding opportunities, and collaborating with various IRC teams to implement holistic programming. Additionally, the manager will supervise SRH staff, coordinate work plans, oversee capacity development activities, prepare detailed work plans for grant implementation, monitor budget expenditures, and engage with regional and national SRH working groups to share information and coordinate efforts with local communities and partners.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in midwifery, public health, medicine, or a related field. A minimum of three years of humanitarian project management experience is required, with demonstrated technical expertise in SRH in humanitarian settings and MISP implementation. Strong training and coaching skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of gender-based violence (GBV) response and service provision. Familiarity with BEmONC programming and protocols is also necessary. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Arabic is preferred. Candidates should have proven abilities in developing work plans, data collection and analysis, and performance monitoring, as well as excellent computer skills in MS Office applications.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in midwifery, public health, medicine, or a related field. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of sexual and reproductive health services and the challenges faced in humanitarian contexts.

Experience:
The position requires at least three years of experience in humanitarian project management, specifically with a focus on sexual and reproductive health in emergency settings. Candidates should have a proven track record of implementing SRH programs, managing teams, and providing technical support in challenging environments. Experience in training and capacity building for health staff is also essential.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred, as it will facilitate communication with local communities and stakeholders in the Darfur region.
