Job Overview:
The position of International Consultant on Developing a Risk Based Approach Joint Inspection Methodology involves providing expert guidance and support to the UNDP in Kosovo. The consultant will be responsible for developing a comprehensive risk-based approach to joint inspection methodologies, which is crucial for ensuring effective oversight and accountability in various projects and initiatives. The consultant will work closely with UNDP staff and stakeholders to assess current practices, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions that align with international best practices. The assignment is expected to last from May 15, 2026, to August 14, 2026, during which the consultant will conduct research, facilitate workshops, and produce detailed reports outlining the findings and recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Conducting a thorough analysis of existing inspection methodologies and risk assessment frameworks used by UNDP and other relevant organizations.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback on current practices and challenges faced in joint inspections.
  • Developing a risk-based approach that incorporates best practices and lessons learned from previous inspections.
  • Preparing detailed documentation, including guidelines and training materials, to support the implementation of the new methodology.
  • Facilitating training sessions and workshops for UNDP staff and partners to ensure understanding and effective application of the new approach.
  • Providing ongoing support and consultation throughout the implementation phase to address any emerging issues or challenges.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in risk management, inspection methodologies, and project management. A proven track record of working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment are also required.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, public administration, business administration, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in risk management or project management would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in this area.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in risk management, inspection methodologies, or related fields. Experience working with UN agencies or other international organizations is highly desirable. Languages:
