Job Overview:
The Multimedia Content Creator will play a pivotal role in supporting OCHA's private sector fundraising strategy on a global scale. This position requires a creative individual with expertise in graphics and video design to develop compelling fundraising products and campaigns. The role involves creating a unified visual identity for fundraising initiatives, designing infographics and visual assets, producing high-quality video content, and ensuring that all materials align with humanitarian storytelling principles. The Multimedia Content Creator will collaborate with various teams to conceptualize and execute fundraising campaigns targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations, translating campaign concepts into cohesive visual narratives. The position demands rapid-response visual production for seasonal and emergency-specific campaigns, contributing to the overall effectiveness of OCHA's fundraising efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Multimedia Content Creator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
  • Visual Content Creation and Design Support: Develop and maintain a unified visual identity for fundraising products; design infographics, visual assets, and social media templates; produce high-quality video content for various platforms; ensure all content is visually compelling and accessible; source and curate photography and footage for fundraising campaigns; deliver editable source files for future reuse; support the fundraising team in conceptualizing and rolling out campaigns; translate campaign concepts into cohesive visual narratives; collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with campaign messaging; support rapid-response visual production under tight deadlines; contribute to the development of stories and scripts that enhance emotional resonance.
  • Monitoring and Performance Support: Assess the performance of visual content through engagement metrics; prepare alternative creative versions based on performance data; maintain an archive of campaign assets and performance learnings; ensure compliance with tracking, accessibility, and digital optimization standards. The incumbent may also perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in graphic design or related fields, or a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) with an additional two years of qualifying experience. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in multimedia content creation is required for those with a Master's degree, or four years for those with a Bachelor's degree. Experience in graphic design and multimedia production, including video editing, is essential. Candidates should provide at least three examples of their work portfolio, demonstrating their skills in multimedia content creation. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) is required, along with experience in producing high-quality visual assets for digital platforms and adapting content for multiple formats.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in graphic design or related fields. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in the same areas, combined with two additional years of qualifying experience, will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate their qualifications through a portfolio of work that showcases their multimedia content creation skills.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in multimedia content creation for candidates with a Master's degree, or four years for those with a Bachelor's degree. This experience should preferably be in the field of fundraising, with a strong emphasis on graphic design and multimedia production, including video editing and the creation of visual assets for digital platforms.

Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages such as French and/or Arabic is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
